Los Angeles Featured Event

If you're a fetish freak and you're in Los Angeles -- or can get there -- you won't want to miss the L.A. Kinkball Fetish Weekend. Going down President's Day Weekend, February 15, 16 and 17th, the L.A. Kinkball Fetish Weekend has promises "Diversity in Perversity," a whole weekend of events designed to challenge the best in the international scene, from London to Berlin to New York. Performers, models, designers, and fetish fans will be coming from all over the world to "the entertainment capital of the world" to celebrate the fetish lifestyle in this kinky and orgiastic weekend.

The Kinkball Fetish Weekend consists of three parties that start Friday, February 15th. Once you've got that pesky Valentine's Day out of the way, you can get down and dirty for the real world of romance. That's when LA Kinkball kicks off "Fade To Black," a meet & greet at Bordello, described as "one of the hippest and coolest clubs in downtown Los Angeles." If you've ever visited LaLaLand, you might think of it as an endless parade of wide streets, strip malls and palm trees, but for my money downtown is where it's at -- this is where the hardcore glamour of old-school Los Angeles lives and breathes, and if you agree with me then you're guaranteed to be satisfied by Bordello. The organizers describe it: "Truly reminiscent of a 1940's bordello, with black crystal chandeliers, red lightbulbs, thick plush red velvet curtains, recessed parlor room, intimate alcoves, and ornate mirrors, this is the perfect setting for our first event. We have some great entertainment planned for the evening, featuring the Glam Opera Libertine Prince Poppycock, and world renowned tribal fusion belly dancer, Ariellah, with more still to come."

After the Fade to Black meet & greet, the afterparty PASSIVE/AGGRESSIVE will go down at a fully equipped private loft space located less than half a block from the nightclub. We're told: This will be a no holds barred, uncensored play party that'll go till 6:00am. Play as hard as you like, shed your clothing if you feel inclined, and let your inhibitions run wild."

You may want to plan to sleep late that afternoon, because the main event gets started the next day, Saturday, February 16th. It's Fetish Asylum: Committed For Life. The organizers say: "This is the big one! The stage is set ...the disturbed inhabitants of Fetish Asylum have broken free of their confinement, disposed of their cruel and neglectful caretakers, and now roam the grounds freely....lurking...voyeuring...exhibiting. It seems like an eternity since they've experienced even the most simple of life's pleasures, and so on this evening, they plan to indulge their most perverse fantasies and generally party their mental asses off."

Sound like fun? It will be, not least because it's being held at a kickass upscale club. The "visually stunning" Key Club is a chic venue with four bars, a huge stage, a dance floor, mezzanine level, lower level lounge, digital projectors, private booths, bottle service and a full service restaurant, not to mention a hot light and sound system.

Eros Zine contributor RubberDoll is flying in to MC this gig and perform with Swiss electro-pop band FAQ in a fetish-live music performance in its North American debut. Then you'll thrill to the exploits of suspension bondage legend Allen Falkner, who's amazed & delighted audiences at many events including last year's LA Kinkball show at the Ivar and the 2006 San Francisco Fetish Ball. Other performers making appearances at Saturday's gig include performer and choreographer Elayssa of Dessert Sin performing what sounds like a a Freudian psychosexual fetish morality play, and fetish/bondage model Eden Wells in something akin to a seven-foot airtight clear plastic hamster ball. Clearly, things are going to get interesting.

As if that weren't enough, Saturday's Fetish Asylum event will have a Rubber Room for heavy rubber lovers hosted by NYC domme legend Dante Posh. There'll be rubber toys, straitjackets, vac beds, full body encasement and hoods -- oh, my. Last but far, far from leash, the Plush Lounge on the lower level will have an extensive dungeon installation for your playing pleasure, with ambient performance throughout the night.

For Fetish Asylum, you're welcome to dress in your most devious fetish attire, but why not run with the theme and come as a devilish doctor, nasty nurse, perverted psychiatrist, sadistic surgeon or other kinky medical freak?

To round out the weekend is the much-anticipated return of Masque, described as "an evening of elegant fetish attire, exotic masks, cocktails, fine food, and erotic entertainment from the most gifted alternative performance artists from around the world." The organizers continue: We return to El Cid, the historic dinner theater venue on Sunset Blvd. Anyone who was in attendance at our last Masque event in September knows just how perfect the El Cid venue was for us. Everyone raved about the food, the service staff, the ambiance, the stage, etc. Our performance lineup for this evening promises to be even more spectacular than our last, as we have a more diversified range of talent than any previous show to date, incorporating more music, dance and comedy-based performers."

The host at Masque is "glam-opera libertine" Prince Poppycock; featured guest Anastasia Pierce will provide a sexually-charged fetish floorshow. Bondage performer Mykal Binds will provide a bondage suspension show with rope bottom Vee Venom, and Elayssa will return to perform an original dance piece. Then there's Ariellah, known far and wide for her gothic fusion belly dance, and Sir Heffington will be gracing the stage with his own brand of dance.

Meanwhile, MC Lisp, who calls himself the greatest gay rapper in the world, will be providing rap-comedy and Dot Toddy will grace Masque's guests with a clown striptease show; Fyre God Zor will be doing one "for the ladies," and more.

Last but far from least, Masque has its own afterparty at a private play space "less than 5 miles away by car," where you'll party your well-spanked ass off until 6am.

All events in the LA Kinkball Weekend are fetish-dress only, so be sure to break out your hottest outfits and naughtiest shoes. If you're in LA or can get there, you don't want to miss it!
